Treatment technologies for soybean seeds: Dose effectiveness, mechanical damage and seed coating

ABSTRACT Seed treatment is an important procedure in soybean cultivation and currently performed two ways: industrial seed (IST), by the companies industry, OnFarm treatment, performedby producer. The objective of this research was to compare influence technologies, including machines processes, on occurrence mechanical damage functional quality treatment. Soybean seeds were subjected phytosanitary treatments with different processes machines: (1) a batch process; (2) continuous flow process, (3) dosage distribution via fixed-volume doser mixing worm screw; (4) controlrepresented untreated seeds. evaluated sodium hypochlorite test. analyzed coating, determined means digital image processing; particle detachment (dust-off); dose effectiveness thiamethoxam, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). or systems ensures better greater effectiveness, less lower compared application technology. processing high-resolution images efficient for quantifying coating products. directly related effectiveness.
